TAYLOR PREVIEWS FLEETWOOD FIXTURE

Peter Taylor looks ahead to Saturday's Sky Bet League One clash against Fleetwood at Highbury Stadium

Peter Taylor says his side will be going to Fleetwood with a positive frame of mind hoping to achieve their first away league win of the season.

Gillingham have won three times on the road since the start of the campaign, however all of which have come in the various cup competitions, and despite Fleetwood’s unbeaten home record, Taylor says there is no reason his players cannot come away with a positive result in the league too.

He said: “They are a good team, they got promotion last season and they are a club who are growing fast. They have some good players and we are expecting a really hard game.

“We know they’re unbeaten at home and we know we haven’t won away but that’s where Football is crazy sometimes and that’s the target we’ll be setting ourselves in trying to get that first win.”

As for team news, Taylor is hoping to welcome back Captain Doug Loft after a three game ban. However a couple of players will definitely be out as he explained:

“There won’t be too much difference from last Saturday’s game, there’s a chance Doug Loft will be in the 18 and I’d love him to be back in the squad. Kortney Hause we are hopeful about and he trained on Thursday.

“Amine Linganzi is going to be out with Aaron Morris – Glenn Morris also got a whack against Cardiff in the week so he’ll be out for around 10 days.”
