He said: “It will be a tough game for us, they’re in good form and we know it’s a big test but I‘m looking for the players to take on board the Coventry performance.

“I went to see them play on Tuesday night and they rested six or seven players who I’m fully expecting to start against us – it’s a fantastic place to go to with a great atmosphere.

“We’ve got to make sure that we respect their strengths but then we need to say to ourselves where can we hurt them?

“Danny Kedwell and Stuart Nelson are the only two who will not be considered.”

The Manager believes the side are making good progress and conceded that with such a young squad mistakes may occur, however he remains adamant that the players will get better as they get more games.

He added: “I think we are progressing and if it means I come out after a game and say I’m disappointed with some of the things we have done then I’m only being honest and the players would probably be feeling exactly the same as me.

“What I do know is that we have a good, young hungry group who want to improve but there are going to be mistakes and we will need to learn from it.

“The most important thing is that if they make a mistake and take it the right way to improve for the next time then by the end of the season we will have a good player.”
