Gills boss Peter Taylor in positive mood ahead of Saturday's trip to Oldham in Sky Bet League One
Peter Taylor says he fully believes his players have the capabilities to win at Oldham this weekend.
The Gills boss has had a free week to prepare his squad, and although he admitted players at this level are slightly less consistent, the staff have worked hard on the training ground to organize themselves as thoroughly as possible.
He said: “They have players in good form and we have to be careful on that but I look at it as a typical League One fixture where we can go out and win the match.
"I believe we can go up there and win and that’s certainly how we are preparing.
"In League One and Two the players are not the most consistent so there will be times when they are in good form and then all of a sudden turn up for a match and it doesn’t work and there isn’t a spark in the performance.
"It’s all about us really; yes I talk about the opposition but I talk more about us and how we start and what we can to do to stop them starting well.”
