EDINBURGH PLEASED TO EXTEND GARMSTON DEAL

Gills boss pleased to retain the services of West Brom left back until mid March

Justin Edinburgh said he was very pleased to have extended the loan of left back Bradley Garmston by a further month.

The defender agreed a new deal on Monday that will see him remain at MEMS Priestfield Stadium, on loan from Premier League side West Bromwich Albion, until March 15.

Edinburgh praised the 21-year-old for his recent displays and is hoping for more of the same.

Speaking to the club website he said: “From me coming here he has improved with every game and the belief in himself is starting to show. I am absolutely delighted that West Bromwich Albion have allowed us to keep Bradley for a further month.

“He knows he has to be on his toes because in Joe Martin we have somebody equally impressive and will push him, so it’s very good to have that level of competition.

“I’m pleased for him to score here; he played a major part in Bradley’s goal at Peterborough on Tuesday night so I think he would be the first to admit that he’s enjoying his time here but there is more to come.”

Garmston initially joined the club on January 16 and has so far made seven appearances for the club, scoring once.
