We look ahead to Gillingham's trip to Yeovil at Huish Park in Sky Bet League One
YEOVIL V GILLINGHAMHuish Park
Sky Bet League One
Saturday February 21
Kick-Off, 3pm
Team News:
Justin Edinburgh could welcome Josh Pritchard back to his 18-man strong squad for the trip to Somerset. The midfielder (calf) returned to action in the 6-0 win over Peterborough on Wednesday and should be fine to travel.
Amine Linganzi (hamstring) is fit again but the match may have come too soon for Aaron Morris who also has a hamstring problem.
As for Yeovil they could include four new signings, including Byron Webster who has re-joined the club from Millwall on loan for the rest of the season.
Swansea duo Stephen Kingsley and Josh Sheehan have also joined the club on loan and could start, while former Arsenal youngster Craig Eastmond has agreed a short term deal at Huish Park having been a free agent.
Manager Comments:
Terry Skiverton: "We have given people chances. They have risen to the challenge a little bit, but we have got to be ruthless in how we pick the squads.
“The main positive is that we’re still four points from getting out of the relegation zone.”
Justin Edinburgh: “We’ll go there and have a tough task but we need to look at what we have achieved over recent weeks and take that kind of performance with us to Yeovil.
“If we apply ourselves right and play as we have been then there are points there for us to go and get.”
Previous Meetings:
The two clubs have already met twice this season within the first week of the 2014/15 season starting.
Firstly the Gills triumped 2-1 at Huish Park in the opening round of the Capital One Cup before winning 2-0 at Priestfield in the reverse league game.
In total there have been 11 meetings between the sides – Yeovil have won five of these while Gills have won only three. The other three matches have been a draw.
Betting:
Yeovil are the favourites to pick up maximum points with odds of 5/4, while Gillingham are 11/5 if you fancy the visitors to extend their unbeaten run to eight matches.
The draw is 23/10, while Cody McDonald is 5/1 to score the first goal.
Special Bet: Bradley Dack to score first in a 3-1 Gillingham win – 170/1.
