GILLINGHAM FC V BRISTOL CITY: MATCH PREVIEW

We look ahead to tonight's JPT clash against Bristol City at Priestfield

GILLINGHAM V BRISTOL CITY
Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Area Final First Leg
MEMS Priestfield Stadium
Tuesday January 6
Kick-Off, 730pm

Team News:

The Gills coaching staff will be without Aaron Morris for the visit of the Robins. The right back suffered a hamstring strain in the first half against Port Vale at the weekend and was replaced by Gavin Hoyte.

Stephen Bywater has returned to parent club Millwall following his loan spell so Glenn Morris will deputise from the bench.

Amine Linganzi (hamstring) will also sit out while Callum Davies (foot) is a long term absentee.

Danny Kedwell is missing following his transfer to Ebbsfleet United.

As for City they could be without striking duo Kieran Agard (ankle) and Aaron Wilbraham (hip). Neither featured against Doncaster at the weekend and their fitness will be assessed prior to the game.

Previous Meetings:

The clubs have met twice already this season with City coming out on top in both matches. The first was in the first round of the FA Cup where the Robins won 2-1, before prevailing 3-1 in the league in the last calendar game of 2014.

Gillingham last defeated Bristol City in the first round of the Capital One Cup in August 2012 with Martin Allen’s side recording a 2-1 win.
