GILLINGHAM V OLDHAM
Sky Bet League One
MEMS Priestfield Stadium
Saturday January 24
Kick-Off, 3pm

Team News:

Joe Martin (calf) has a chance of making the match squad for the visit of Oldham. The left back trained on Thursday and Friday but may have to wait for a starting place. Amine Linganzi (hamstring) is nearing a return but this match may have come too early for him.

Aaron Morris (hamstring) remains out for at least another two weeks. Josh Hare (knee) is out for the rest of the season after rupturing knee ligaments.

As for Oldham, new signing Jacob Mellis could make his debut after signing on loan from Blackpool. Adam Lockwood could feature in defence but the game may have come too soon for him, while Rhys Turner is a long term absentee.

Managerial Comments:

Andy Hessenthaler said: “They are a good side, they had a sticky run before the Fleetwood game but they’ve got a young Manager who likes to play good Football.

“The boys have been working hard as a group; we just need to get a bit of a consistent run.”

Lee Johnson told Oldham FC: "It will be a tough game and we know that. We went down there last year and did really well even with the incident with Kusunga being sent off so we need to make sure we don't get intimidated by their good crowd."

Previous Meetings:

The last meeting between the sides was earlier this season when a 0-0 draw was played out at Boundary Park in September.

In total the two sides have met on 41 occasions – of those the visitors have won 21 games, Gills have 16 victories and the other five fixtures have resulted in a draw.

Betting:

Oldham are the favourites to win the game with odds of 5/4. Gillingham are 21/10 with the draw at 12/5.

Special Bet: Cody McDonald to score first in a 2-1 win: 45/1.
