MK Dons defeat Gillingham 3-0 in development fixture at stadiummk
Gillingham slipped to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of MK Dons on Monday night in the Final Third Development League Cup.Josh Pritchard and Antonio German both featured with Glenn Morris playing in goal. Aidan Blanchard, Josh Staunton and Dan Bent all started the game with Greg Cundle in attack.
The hosts, playing at stadiummk, took the lead through Tom Hitchcock on 25 minutes before scoring twice after the break.
Girogio Rasulo latched onto a fine pass from Hitchcock to double the advantage with Mark Randall putting the result beyond doubt with a third in the closing stages.
Darren Hare took charge of the side and the result may have been different had German's strike prior to the interval hit the net.
Instead he struck the woodwork with Staunton producing a good stop from Ian McLoughlin shortly after.
