INSPIRATION DAYS FOR NORTH BOROUGH JUNIOR SCHOOL

Gillingham FC's Community Trust visit local school to help with inspiration week

Last week our Community Trust coaches visited North Borough Junior School to help with their Inspiration week.

The school had planned sports events to run throughout the week to help their pupils gain a better understanding of education through sport.

The Community coaches spent the day delivering football coaching session with every class whilst talking about education in sport, football, and their favourite lessons.

All the children and teachers enjoyed the session and asked if they could come along to the stadium and have a look around.

A few lucky children were chosen to come to MEMS Priestfield Stadium for a tour where they were shown around by Jack and Georgia from the Community Department.

The children had the opportunity to go behind the scenes of the Conference and Banqueting facilities as well as the changing rooms, gym and executive boxes.

There were lots of opportunities for questions with all the staff as the children were keen to learn all about the day to day running of a professional football club.

Gills Goalkeeper Tom Hadler also caught up with the children during the tour and was able to answer a few more questions about the importance of education in sport.

Thank you to all from North Borough Junior School who attended the ground tour and took part in our sessions at the school and we hope to see you all again soon.
