Portsmouth to visit Priestfield during pre-season
Gillingham have lined up another friendly ahead of the 2015/16 Sky Bet League One season.Justin Edinburgh’s side will welcome League Two Portsmouth to MEMS Priestfield Stadium on Saturday August 1 (3pm), making it two home games in the space of four days with Brighton visiting Kent on Wednesday July 29 (745).
Portsmouth, now under the management of Paul Cook following his departure from Chesterfield, finished 16th in League Two last season but will be hoping to mount a promotion push next season under a new regime.
The fixture means the Gills now have seven confirmed pre-season matches with the first taking place on Tuesday July 7 (745) against Folkestone at the Fullicks Stadium.
