We bring you the latest team news, manager comments, odds and ticket information as Gills prepare to welcome Scunthorpe to Priestfield (745).

GILLINGHAM V SCUNTHORPE UNITED
Sky Bet League One
MEMS Priestfield Stadium
Tuesday October 20
Kick-Off, 745

Team News:

Ryan Jackson (suspension) misses the game after picking up his fifth booking of the campaign against Crewe so Aaron Morris is likely to keep his place at right back.

Luke Norris (ankle) will be out for a couple of weeks at the least following the injury sustained at Gresty Road, while Cody McDonald (heel) is very doubtful.

As for Scunthorpe Niall Canavan, Stephen Dawson and Jamie Ness are all likely to be missing, however Luke Williams will be involved once again after returning to the Iron’s match squad on Saturday.

Manager Comments:

Justin Edinburgh – “Scunthorpe have hit really good form after a slow start but we are beginning to make Priestfield a fortress and we want to continue that with these back to back home games.”

Mark Robins – “We have to make sure we are at our optimum as much as we possibly can be and that’s all down to positivity, with the thought processes and everything the players are going to do.

“We also want them to enjoy it – that’s really important. It’s tough at times, because they get bogged down, but they’ve come through that bit of a run and we’ve had a good week or 10 days.

“Now it’s important we go to Gillingham and put on a real good show. It’s always a hard place to go and play, but it’s a good game for us at this stage.”

Previous Meetings:

The clubs last met at Glanford Park in April earlier this year when the Gills slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat in a game which was suspended for a short period due to a huge downpour of rain.

Luke Norris had put the visitors in front but the Iron stormed back to claim all three points in the penultimate match of the season. The reverse game saw Gills lose 3-0 at Priestfield with Captain Doug Loft sent off.

In total the two clubs have met on 40 separate occasions – of those the Gills have won 10 games, there have been 13 draws and Scunthorpe edge the head to head statistics with 14 victories.
