GILLS SIGN HARRY LENNON ON LOAN

Charlton centre-back returns to Gills on short term loan deal

Gillingham have secured the signing of Harry Lennon on an emergency youth loan until November 3.

The 20-year-old centre back spent time on loan at Priestfield during the 2014/15 season, making two appearances in December before returning to the Valley.

He then went on to play against the Gills for Charlton in the Kent Senior Cup Final in April, the Addicks winning the game 1-0 at Priestfield.

Harry is eligible to play in the club's home league fixture against Oldham on Saturday.

On capturing Lennon's signing Justin Edinburgh said: "With Deji Oshilaja having suffered a recent injury and Callum Davies out on loan we felt it was appropriate to cover ourselves.

"I've kept my eye on Harry, tracked his progress and tried to sign him a couple of times before.

"He is a strong defender, he has played here in the past and I very much look forward to working with him during his time at the club."

Lennon will wear squad number 26.
