Find out more about our Apprenticeship Programme over the Easter holidays.
With the Gillingham FC Community Trust Apprenticeship Programme underway throughout Kent, the apprentices spent part of their school holidays working through their required NVQ work at Canterbury College.
The apprentices study an NVQ level 2 or 3 in supporting the delivery of P.E and school sport as well as being placed within a Primary School in Kent where they are required to work for 30 hours a week on a mixture of P.E and classroom activities.
This week, the apprentices worked through various tasks of the NVQ with the majority of the contents being based around the comparisons between a teacher and a learning support practitioner and the benefits of assessment for learning which is Unit 5 in their Core Aim.
Hannah Watson from Canterbury College gave the apprentices a workshop on how to use smart assessor. Smart assessor is an online portfolio which allows a student to upload work, CVs and effectively replicate the portfolio they receive from 1st4sport online.
If you are interested in applying for one of our apprenticeship opportunities, or would like to find out more information regarding the programme please send your CV and covering letter to Wayne Wilson, wwilson@priestfield.com.
