EDINBURGH NOMINATED FOR NOVEMBER MANAGER OF THE MONTH

Gills boss Justin Edinburgh appears on Sky Bet's four-man shortlist for the League One prize

Justin Edinburgh has today been announced as one of four nominees for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award for November.

The Gills boss oversaw three victories in four league games last month, including a 3-0 success against promotion-chasing Rochdale last time out at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium.

A judging committee nominated Edinburgh for "making light of difficult circumstances and staying true to his footballing principles" as he lifted the Gills to within three points of the play-off places.

He is up against Scunthorpe United's Graham Alexander, Phil Brown of Southend United and Charlton's caretaker Kevin Nugent for the award.

The winner will be decided by a panel that includes former Ipswich Town boss George Burley, Sky Sports EFL expert Don Goodman and Olaf Dixon from the League Managers' Association, and is schedule to be announced on Friday (December 9).

Edinburgh has previously been shortlisted for the prize in December 2015 and August 2016
