Michael Owen visits Priestfield
Michael Owen came down to the MEMS Priestfield Stadium today after commentating on last nights Champions League last-16 tie in London for BT Sport.
The ex-England striker is a friend of the Chairmans and took the opportunity to visit Priestfield to have a tour of the stadium, meet the staff and spent some time talking to the students of our independent school.
Owen also had lunch in the players lounge with the Chairman, Justin Edinburgh and his management staff. The Chairman had a contract prepared for the prolific goalscorer, but unfortunately he wouldn't sign on the dotted line.
Owen represented his country 84 times and scored 40 goals in his ten years at international level. He also played for Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Stoke City.
The club would like to thank Michael for his time and meeting some very star-struck staff.
