DICKENSON: LET'S SELL OUT SOUTHEND

Gills player Brennan Dickenson urges fans to sell out all 2,000 tickets for Saturday's game at Southend

Man of the match against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday, Brennan Dickenson has called on Gillingham fans to sell out all 2,000 tickets for this weekend's game at Southend United.

Over half the club's allocation for the Roots Hall tie were sold as of Monday morning, and Dickenson knows the advantage of boisterous support, having experienced it once again at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium during the weekend's 3-0 victory.

“I've seen on Twitter we've sold 1,000 already, and there's another 1,000 up for grabs,” said Dickenson. “It would be great if we can get everybody down there and sell it out, support is key at this time of the season.

“It's always nice to hear the crowd, it gives you that sense of security, you know that you can push on.

“When you put in a good cross, and the crowd applauds you, you want to keep doing it again and again. The louder they get, the more you want to push on.”

Dickenson has started the last three league games for the Gills, two in the left wing back position, and believes the versatility of the squad can help overcome the increasing injury list at the club.

He added: “We've got versatile players who can play in different positions, that's good, we've got to use that to our advantage - I played in four positions at Scunthorpe!

“This is the business end, we've got to push on and get as many points as we can.”
