Doug Loft’s 30-yard screamer has today been voted the latest Gillingham Goal of the Month by Gills fans.
The 29-year-old scored the opener against Oldham Athletic in February, taking his tally up to four for the season.
After pressure in the Latics' box, their defence eventually cleared their lines. The ball fell to Loft, who took a touch and struck the ball into the top corner from 30-yards, past a helpless Joel Coleman.
The GOTM competition returned this month with a double edition from January to February 2016, and the numerous goals since the turn of the year included tap-ins, volleys and great build-up play ending with cool finishes.
It was great news from an attacking point of view, with five of the six nominated goals coming from the attacking quartet of Bradley Dack, Dominic Samuel, Rory Donnelly (two) and Luke Norris.
