Player accomodation required for young pros at Gillingham FC
Gillingham Football Club are currently looking for family homes that could accommodate players who need to live away from home to train with our club.Our players comfort and well-being while at the club is paramount, and we want to house them with families who can offer them a `home from home. `
The club is committed to equal opportunities as well as safeguarding, promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Any applicant wishing to be considered will need to demonstrate they are able to share this commitment. Access to public transport and local amenities is desirable.
Our placements vary in terms of length and the club will be in close contact at all times to ensure both parties are happy with the arrangements.
If you are interested in applying to provide one of our players some accommodation then please be aware that this position is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
All those aged 16 and above, who are resident in the accommodation, will be expected to apply for an Enhanced CRB Disclosure immediately and then every three years thereafter.
The club will provide and pay for all CRB checks.
All applicants will be required to undergo a full assessment with our club welfare staff before consideration can be made as to suitability.
Those intending to host players under the age of 16 are required to work within the requirements of Private Fostering Regulations.
A monthly fee is payable to the host family for the duration of the placement.
