TEAM NEWS
Head coach Pennock confirmed that Scott Wagstaff missed Saturday’s match against Coventry City due to an injury picked up in the 1-1 draw with Chesterfield last Tuesday, and will be assessed in training on Monday.

Pennock expressed his disappointment after the weekend's loss at Coventry, but wants his team to bounce back immediately against the Dons.

“We have to take the positives from the second half [against Coventry on Saturday]," he said.

“It will be a tough game against Wimbledon, it always is, but we have to move on and hope we get those three points sooner rather than later.”

Pennock once again praised the travelling fans on Saturday but says it is down to the players to provide some entertainment and excitement for those who watch the team every week.

He added: “They [the fans] will always back us to the very end, but they have got to have something to shout about. You can’t go 2-0 down at half-time and expect a round of applause. The players have to do it on the pitch.”

THE OPPOSITION
Neal Ardley's AFC Wimbledon sit fifteenth in the Sky Bet League One table, four points and three places above the Gills.

The Wombles began the season in fine form, however their recent results have not been good: they last won a league away game back in October and travel to Kent having picked up just one win in nine Sky Bet League One matches.

Ex-Gill Andy Barcham's strike against Shrewsbury Town on Saturday was AFC's first goal away from home in almost 13 hours, however his side lost 2-1 at the Greenhous Meadow.

LAST TIME WE MET
First-half goals from Dominic Poleon and Dean Parrett earned the Dons victory over 10-man Gillingham on a frustrating day for the away side on October 1.

The teams have only met five times in total, with the Gills winning one (1-0 away in October 2012), drawing one and losing three.

FANCY A FLUTTER?
Gills win – 6/4
Draw – 23/10
Dons win–9/5
