Gillingham finalise their pre-season campaign this weekend with two matches in the space of 24 hours.
Firstly, on Friday night, Ady Pennock’s side travel to Colchester United (7.30) who have recruited Ryan Jackson over the summer with former Gills players Doug Loft and Brennan Dickenson already amongst the U’s squad.
A strong side is expected with many having their final chances to impress the management ahead of the first league game of the season against Doncaster Rovers next weekend.
Canvey Island provide the final test of pre-season on Saturday at 3pm with a number of the club’s youngsters expected to feature.
