TICKET BONANZA

Gills fans can now purchase tickets for five of the club’s upcoming fixtures.

Ady Pennock’s side host Bradford City at MEMS Priestfield Stadium in the Gills first home match of the 2017/18 season on Saturday August 12 (3pm), and these are available to buy online, over the phone or in person on Redfern Avenue.

Bradford narrowly missed out on promotion to the Sky Bet Championship in May after suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Millwall in the play-off final and will be keen to start well.

However the Gills have a good record against the Bantams and a packed MEMS Priestfield Stadium could help provide a perfect start to the new campaign.

This match comes four days after the club’s away trip to Reading in the opening round of the Carabao Cup.

The draw was made last month in Thailand and, on paper, the Gills were handed the toughest tie with Reading being denied a place in the Premier League courtesy of a penalty shootout defeat at the hands of Huddersfield Town at Wembley in the Championship play-off final.

This match takes place on Tuesday July 7 with an 8pm kick-off time at the Madejski Stadium.

So far in pre-season the Gills have recorded two wins from two games, firstly beating Faversham 1-0 at Salters Lane before putting in a good display to defeat Dartford 2-1 at Princes Park thanks to goals from Gabriel Zakuani and Josh Parker.

The players take to the pitch at MEMS Priestfield Stadium for the first time on Saturday July 22 when Ipswich Town visit ME7, before Patro Eisden come back to Kent for the second time this year after being defeated in a behind closed doors friendly in January.

Tickets for both of these matches are on general sale.
