Gillingham will kick-off their 2017/18 Sky Bet League One season away to Doncaster Rovers on August 5.
The fixtures, which were announced earlier today, will see Ady Pennock’s men travel to the Keepmoat Stadium to take on a side who were promoted from League Two last season under the management of Darren Ferguson.
A week later the Gills will host Bradford City, who were defeated in the League One play-off final by Millwall in May.
Over the busy festive period the Gills are at home three times in the space of two weeks. Firstly Bristol Rovers visit ME7 on December 16 before a lengthy away trip to Fleetwood on December 23. Oxford United make the trip to Kent on Boxing Day before AFC Wimbledon make the short journey to Priestfield just four days later.
On Easter Monday (April 2) Gillingham go to Roots Hall to take on Southend, with the club’s last fixture being at home to Plymouth Argyle on May 5.
Blackburn Rovers, relegated last season, will host the Gills at Ewood Park on September 30 with the reverse fixture taking place on March 17.
