HALF-TIME SHOOT OUT SEMI FINALISTS REVEALED

Current holders Featherby Junior School have the chance to retain their title

Our Half-Time Shoot Out competition has been running again this season during Gillingham FC home games.  Sixteen schools from across Kent have been trying to hit the target in front of the roaring Rainham End to progress in the competition.

Teams of six players from each school have seven seconds to score from the edge of the penalty area – either by dribbling the ball forward and taking on the goalkeeper, or simply firing a shot and going for glory.  Over the season we’ve seen some great goals and superb saves!

After 12 games, we’re now down to the final four schools – Woodlands, Cecil Road, Featherby, and Davington – who will be playing to be crowned Gills Half-time Shoot Out champions 2016-17!

Our first semi-final will be a local Gillingham derby taking place during the Gills game against Peterborough United on Saturday, March 25, where the Academy of Woodlands Primary School will take on last year’s tournament winners Featherby Junior School.

The second semi-final will be on Saturday, April 8 during the match against Millwall, with Cecil Road Primary School from Gravesend playing Faversham-based Davington Primary School.

The grand final will then be played on the final home game of the season on Saturday, April 22 against Fleetwood.

Who will be in with the chance to lift the coveted Gills Half-time Shoot Out trophy?  Join us on match days to find out!

Thank you to all of the schools who have taken part in our Half-time Shoot Out competition so far this year, and good luck to our four semi-finalists.
