Oxford to visit Priestfield in December.
Gillingham will play Oxford United at home in the second round of the Checkatrade Trophy.
Steve Lovell’s side progressed to the knockout stage with a 100% record after defeating Southend (2-1), Colchester (1-0) and Reading (7-5) in the three group fixtures.
Due to the fact Gills finished top of their group the club were guaranteed a home draw and Oxford will now Priestfield twice in the same month.
The fixture is due to be played the week commencing December 4. The Kent Cup tie against Maidstone, which was also scheduled for that week, will now be played on Tuesday December 12 subject to FA Cup replays.
A confirmed date for the fixture, along with ticket information, will be announced next week.
