A Director of Education position is available at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
Gillingham Football Club is looking for an outstanding individual to lead our education work. The club’s education work straddles everything from a full time school for disaffected children, to the BTEC courses run for its Youth Team apprentices and Girls’ Academy, as well as work carried out in schools within Kent.
Building on existing activities, the Director of Education will take responsibility for overall strategic direction, management, development and funding.
Working with the Executive team, you will plot a course for the next three to five years to extend and further improve the Club’s impact. You will understand where the Club can add the most value and build effective relationships with existing and new partners, including innovative businesses, government bodies, non-profits and others to identify exciting new opportunities, whilst ensuring the club's existing activities are managed to the highest possible level.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working at a senior level within the education industry combined with an understanding and passion for education, technology and innovation.
You will be determined to use your time at Gillingham to make a significant contribution to the work of the Football Club. The role is a part-time role that will suit an experienced, appropriately qualified educational practitioner who for example may have filled a role as Head Teacher or Deputy Head Teacher.
Applications by email to gpoynter@priestfield.com to include a C.V. should be made by the closing date of 30th September 2017.
