Former Gills player passes away.
The club are very saddened to learn of the passing of former player Gordon Riddick.
He died last Friday at the age of 74.
Gordon played 114 league games for the Gills between 1967 and 1969, scoring 24 goals in the process.
He also featured for Luton, Charlton Athletic, Orient, Northampton Town and Brentford in a career that lasted 15 years before retiring in 1977 having played over 400 matches. His versatility proved invaluable throughout his time in Football, able to play in defence, midfield or in attack.
In addition to his career in Football, Gordon also played minor counties championship cricket for Herefordshire.
Our thoughts and condolences go to Gordon’s friends and family at this very difficult time.
