Gills wear new strip for the first time against Ebbsfleet and Dover.
Gillingham FC’s new home strip for the 2018/19 Sky Bet League 1 season was worn for the first time on Saturday.
The kit, sponsored by Medway Council, was officially unveiled at the club’s `Player of the Year` event on May 5 and supporters have been able to pre-order an anniversary shirt, plus one other, since season ticket prices were unveiled before the end of last season.
Steve Lovell took charge of the 2-0 defeat at Ebbsfleet while Mark Patterson took another XI to Crabble, who defeated Dover Athletic 3-0.
All strips have undergone slight design changes since first being seen on May 5, and the fully completed kit designs will be available for supporters to view when official photographs are taken within the next 7-14 days.
In addition to the home strip (pictured) the club have produced a 125-year anniversary kit which is made up of black and white stripes as per the strip worn by New Brompton in 1893. A yellow and white colour combination makes up our alternate strip.
On the back features the logo for the mental health charity `Mind` who became the EFL's official charity partner earlier this year.
Pre-orders can still be placed by clicking on the below link and heading to page six. You can look at the new home strip in greater detail by visiting our gallery from the weekend's games.
When kit is available for general sale we will announce via the usual channels. We are currently working on ensuring all three strips are available online at the earliest opportunity.
