New contract agreed for Nasseri.
Navid Nasseri has signed a one-year contract extension which will keep him at Priestfield Stadium until the summer of 2019.
The midfielder signed a short-term deal with the club in January which ran until the end of the season, and his performances have been rewarded with a new 12-month contract.
Nasseri made his debut as a substitute in the club’s 3-1 win at Portsmouth on Saturday March 10 before making his first full start a few weeks later at home to MK Dons, a game in which he scored. Two other appearances followed away to Southend and at home to Doncaster Rovers in a 0-0 draw.
Prior to his arrival in Kent Navid had been playing for Swedish side Syrianska having also played for Birmingham and Macclesfield.
Speaking to the club website he said: “Fans only got a glimpse of me last season, hopefully I’ll get 30 games plus next year and I’m just raring to go.
“I’m pleased to get this over the line, I thought I played well in the games I did play last season and I’m just looking to get sharp for pre-season now.”
