Gills back on the road for Bristol Rovers clash.
BRISTOL ROVERS V GILLINGHAM
The Memorial Stadium
Sky Bet League 1
Tuesday November 27
Kick-off, 7:45pm
Team News:
Regan Charles-Cook and Brandon Hanlan could be available for selection after picking up knocks prior to Saturday’s home game against Luton Town.
Callum Reilly was an unused substitute at the weekend but remains fit to play if required.
As for Rovers, boss Darrell Clarke could make a few changes with Kyle Bennett, Alex Rodman and Sam Matthews all hoping to start while midfielder Stuart Sinclair is available after suspension.
Manager Comments:
Darrell Clarke – “It's a game we want to win and other people will see it as a must-win game but I saw Saturday as a must-win game and the Tuesday before a must-win game.
“The two teams are struggling and haven't been as good as they would have liked and both fighting and scrapping.”
Steve Lovell - "Bristol Rovers will be eager to get a few points under their belts and it's tight down there. There are three points up for grabs; whatever happens will happen and you just need to prepare as we do normally and hopefully we will start turning performances into results.
"It will be a battle; we will embrace it and try to get something out of it. We just need to keep going, they are giving everything and I can't ask for anything more."
Previous Meetings:
The Gills have played Bristol Rovers on 105 occasions with the Pirates taking the edge slightly with 45 wins over the Gills 40. We last played Rovers at The Memorial Stadium in April where both teams left with a point in a 1-1 draw.
The reverse fixture saw the Gills take all three points courtesy of a convincing 4-1 victory with goals from Josh Parker, Alex Lacey and two from Mark Byrne.
Odds:
Bristol Rovers win - 19/20
Draw - 5/2
Gills win - 11/4
Special Bet: Gillingham to win 2-1 and Tom Eaves to score first – 45/1.
