Republic of Ireland international wants to impress at Priestfield.
Gills new signing Graham Burke is hopeful can offer a creative element to the side after agreeing a loan deal until the end of the season.
Burke, 25, arrives at Priestfield from Preston and he is keen to show the Gills faithful what he can do.
Speaking to the club website on Thursday he said: “I’m delighted to be here; it’s a great chance for me to play Football. I haven’t played much this season and the manager’s plans for the rest of the season is what I liked and that was the factor in me coming here.
“I heard about the move on Tuesday; things went back and forth and on Wednesday evening it was done and I got the train down on Thursday morning to get the paperwork done.
“It’s an opportunity to come and do well and go back there [Preston] to give the manager a headache.”

The striker says he is looking forward to playing league football on a more consistent basis and believes he can help create goals, as well as score some himself.
He added: “I know the league position and every game has more meaning to it and I think that’s a great factor for me going into a game. I have come here confident; I like to score goals and to try and create things and play exciting Football.
“I like to play off the striker, so the number 10. I like to get on the ball, create things and chip in with goals. The only person I know here is Bradley Garmston; I played with him in the youth setup with Ireland but I’ll get to know the others in the coming days. It takes time to get your feet under the ground but that won’t take long.”
