Former Spurs midfielder joins Stevenage for a second time.
Stevenage have completed the signing of Dean Parrett ahead of the new season.
The midfielder joins the League 2 club after the Gills, along with the player, decided to terminate his contract at MEMS Priestfield Stadium by mutual consent.
The 27-year-old made 31 appearances during his only season at ME7, scoring one goal which came in the 2-0 win over Scunthorpe at Glanford Park in December. He signed for the Gills last summer after leaving AFC Wimbledon.
He arrives at Stevenage for a second spell after spending over two-and-a-half years at the Lamex Stadium between October 2013 and July 2016. He scored nine times in 78 appearances during his first stint.
His deal was announced on Monday evening with Gills boss Steve Evans wishing him all the best.
He said: “During the past few weeks Dean Parrett has conducted himself in the most professional manner and he will be a big player for Stevenage, as he was during his first spell.
“He’s a top pro and we wish every success.”
Gillingham FC would like to thank Dean for his services while at Priestfield and we wish him well for the future.
