Gillingham FC has named a new Ladies first-team Manager.
Gillingham Football Club is delighted to confirm that Jamie Raynor has been appointed as the new Ladies first-team Manager.
Jamie comes in as replacement for Jack Wheeler who left his role earlier this week and will take charge of Sunday’s away fixture against Yeovil Town.
Jamie has previously worked at Rotherham United as a community coach and as Assistant Manager to their Ladies team. He will also take on the roles of Assistant Youth Team Coach and Girls Academy Coach at Priestfield.
Speaking to the club website he said: “The girls work really, really hard and they are a great bunch. They are listening to new ideas and this is possibly the biggest role I’ve had at the age of 23. I can’t wait to get going.
“I started off at Rotherham United working within their Academy and then became Assistant Manager to their Ladies side, which was my first challenge in Ladies Football which was really good.
“I then moved on to Peterborough United where I worked full-time with the U14’s and U16’s.”
Jamie will be providing regular updates throughout the course of the season.
