Gills sign Jordan Graham

Jordan Graham becomes a Gills player.

Steve Evans has strengthened his attacking options with the capture of exciting Championship winger, Jordan Graham.

The pacey, tricky forward spent an impressive period of just over a month on loan at MEMS Priestfield Stadium earlier this year before the season was concluded early, in fact making seven appearances in total, tasting defeat just once during his short spell in Kent prior to the early curtailment of the League 1 campaign.

Jordan, 25, returned to Molineux following the expiration of his loan deal and has since been released by the Premier League club, paving the way for a permanent deal to be completed with the Gills. He featured 17 times for Wolves in total, scoring one goal.

The winger, who is capable of playing on either flank or in an advanced forward role, has been subject of considerable interest in gathering his signature.

With a number of other clubs keenly chasing him, the Gills boss was clearly delighted to get his man, saying:

"Jordan was one of our key targets.

"The lad and his Father in particular has spoken at length with numerous clubs. They have listened intently, spoke freely and made an informed decision that we are his clear choice. I spent hours with Jordan at the weekend and it felt great to receive his call that he wanted to join us, the hard work paid off.

"There will be a number of high profile Managers in League 1 who will be disappointed, but I have no interest in them at all.

"The lad has spent a couple of weeks with those high profile Formula 1 drivers in the South of France, but it’s now time for Jordan to get motoring on his own. He looks in awesome shape."

A full interview with Jordan will follow shortly.
