Steve Evans has bolstered his forward options with the capture of Premier League winger Jordan Graham on loan.
Gillingham Football Club have clinched the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Jordan Graham on loan until the end of the season despite a late scare as Championship interest emerged.
The 24-year-old, who came through the youth system at Aston Villa, and has had loan spells at Ipswich, Fulham and Bradford, has agreed terms on a loan deal which will see him remain at MEMS Priestfield Stadium until the season’s end.
Jordan has played twice for Wolves this season, both appearances coming in the EFL Trophy, and played against the Gills last season while on loan with Oxford United. During his career he has made 55 professional appearances and scored four goals.
On getting his man, Manager Steve Evans said: “Jordan is a player who gives our squad great balance.
“The deal was done after I spent time meeting the player and talking through a plan for him. A Championship club tried to hijack this signing today but the lad kept to his word; that is a great sign of his character.
“He plays wide on the right or left and is effective playing off a main striker.
“The kid is quick, strong and technically very efficient. Again I won’t build him up to our supporters; they are good judges so they will inform themselves.
“However, I am really pleased to get Jordan in. There was competition for his signature, late in the day, again well played Chairman for your support.
“This lad can really play. If he wants it bad enough he can become one of the best signings of all the transfer deadline day movers today in League 1."
