23-year-old midfielder moves on.
Regan Charles-Cook has signed for Scottish Premier League side Ross County on a two-year contract.
The 23-year-old former Charlton midfielder, who arrived at MEMS Priestfield Stadium in the summer of 2018, featured 52 times for the Gills and scored six times in his two years at the club.
Assistant Manager Paul Raynor revealed on Monday that the player had agreed to join a club in Scotland, and Ross County announced the signing on Tuesday morning.
Regan’s last game for Gillingham came in the 2-1 home defeat to AFC Wimbledon in March. He came off the bench to score the equalising goal, only for the visitors to find a winner just minutes later.
On learning of Regan’s departure Manager Steve Evans said: “Regan has signed for Ross County in Scotland and we wish him all the best at his new club.
“He is a fantastic character, a great lad, and I have no doubt he will do very well.”
