Gills loanee back at Portman Road.
Jordan Roberts has returned to his parent club, Ipswich Town, following his loan spell at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
The forward arrived at ME7 in January on a deal until the end of the season and netted twice in ten outings, both of those goals coming against Rochdale in a 2-2 draw at Spotland.
The news follows Olly Lee's return to Hearts, with his deal having also expired.
Manager Steve Evans said: "With Jordan Roberts, we find ourselves in a very similar territory that we did with Olly Lee.
"The lad has been excellent for us but, again, his loan expired last Sunday with a possible extension to the end of the month, but we won’t be playing by then.
"The longer this goes on the season finishing is not credible. People are still dying every day and many are still catching this horrible nasty virus.
"It’s getting obvious now that the EFL need to make a decision on this season."
