Gills to play Cambridge in next round of Papa John's Trophy

Away tie for Gills in next round.

Gillingham will play Cambridge United in the next round of the Papa John's Trophy.

Steve Evans' side qualified for the next round after finishing as runners-up in Group B of the southern section, following a win over Crawley Town and a draw with Arsenal U21's, who went through as group winners.

After finishing second, Gills were to be drawn away in the next stage and will play Cambridge for the first time since their League Cup encounter in August 2003. The U's are currently second in Sky Bet League 2 and drew 0-0 with the Gills in a pre-season friendly.
