Gills head to Norwich for final pre-season friendly

With the season just a few days away, the Gills face one final test before Lincoln head to ME7.

Gills boss Steve Evans takes his side to Carrow Road on Tuesday evening for the club's final pre-season friendly before the 2021/22 league campaign begins.

Norwich, under the management of Daniel Farke, won promotion to the Premier League earlier this year by winning the Championship title, and they are set to welcome thousands of fans as they prepare to tackle the challenges of top flight Football once more.

The manager said following Saturday's defeat to Leyton Orient that both Ryan Jackson and Robbie McKenzie were unlikely to feature, while Jamie Cumming will be hoping he is fit enough to play some part.

Alex MacDonald could also return to the starting XI after sitting out at the weekend.

The Gills manager said: "We will need to work on our organisation and shape, discipline and matching their runners, doing our jobs and keeping the ball when we have possession."

Kick-off at Carrow Road is set for 8pm and the home club is providing a stream for £5.
