Gills appoint Mark Moss as Youth Team Manager

New youth boss appointed at ME7.

The club is delighted to announce Mark Moss as our new youth team manager.

Mark arrives from Southend and replaces Craig Stone who left the club in October. He has already had a week or so with the players on the training ground and took charge of his first game on Saturday, ironically against former club Southend, which Gills won 3-1.

Moss has also previously coached at Coventry City and Nottingham Forest.

On arriving at MEMS Priestfield Stadium he said: "It's been a positive first week, I have been impressed with the players I have got and I'm happy to be here.

"There are good people working here; I am somebody that likes to be out of my comfort zone and have challenges, and I'm looking forward to the ones that come.

"I started at Oxford as a part-time coach, went to Coventry and had a brilliant time there. I then moved on to Nottingham Forest where I spent three-and-a-half/four years and then to Southend."

Academy Manager Bryan Bull added: "I am really pleased to welcome Mark to the club and am already enjoying working with him. Mark is an experienced player developer who has previously worked at Southend, Nottingham Forest and Coventry City amongst others, and I am sure the players will benefit greatly from his expertise."

We would like to welcome Mark to the club, and also thank his predecessor, Craig Stone, all the best for the future.
