Striker ready for Lincoln battle.
Vadaine Oliver is confident going into the Gills’ televised Sky Bet League One encounter with high-flying Lincoln, and says his side “feel like they can take on anyone.”
Gillingham are currently on a four-game unbeaten streak and a win tonight will move them to within three points of the play-offs, and with Sky’s cameras around there will be even more incentive to put on a good performance.
Oliver, speaking with the local media, said: “It’s really good in the camp at the moment, really bubbly. We have hit a good run of form leading into a very big game. We know Lincoln will be a tough opposition, but we are in great form ourselves at the minute.
“They are a really good team and we know we are going to be in for a tough game. If we turn up and show the level of intensity in our play, not just defensively but attacking wise, they will struggle. They are aware that this will be a tough match. As long as we step up to the challenge, then I don’t see why we won’t be in the game.
“We don’t give up. It will be difficult for them to dominate and outwork us. I’ve not seen their centre-half pairing, but I will be making myself a nuisance tonight.
“It’s huge opportunity for us, and with the way we are playing, I feel like we can keep our momentum going.”
