Robbie McKenzie could keep his place in the side after his impressive display against Colchester. Ryan Jackson is battling to be fit for the game while Charlie Kelman could make his league debut for the Gills. Daniel Phillips is out through suspension.

John Brayford will miss the game through suspension too, having been sent off in the draw to Bolton Wanderers. Former Gills loanee Tom O’Connor could return to the Burton squad after injuring his hamstring against Cambridge.

Daniel Jebbison could be involved for the first time since joining the Brewers from Sheffield United on loan.

Management Comments:

Paul Raynor - “Jimmy’s a good manager who has done well at every club he has been at. He’s done a great job at Burton who were dead and buried last year. The transformation has been astonishing."

Recent Form:

Gillingham- WLD(Lost on pens)WD

Gills return to league action for the first time in two weeks after their game against Charlton was postponed. Last time out, Jack Tucker's first-half goal was cancelled out by second-half goals from Tom Bloxham and Sam Cosgrove as Shrewsbury beat Steve Evans’ side 2-1. The Gills currently sit on five points after five games and are in 17th place in League One.

Burton Albion- DLDLW

Albion are winless in their last four games in all competitions, with their last win coming against Sunderland. Jonny Smith scored the only goal on the day. Despite that, Burton lie third in League One and have only lost once this season, a 3-0 defeat at Cambridge United.

They drew 0-0 at Bolton Wanderers on Monday night in front of the Sky Sports cameras and drew to Cheltenham Town before that live on Sky.

Previous Meetings:

The game at the Pirelli last season ended in a 1-1 draw. Former winger Jordan Graham had given Gills the lead after rounding Kieran O’Hara and slotting into an empty net. Ryan Broom equalised for the hosts at the death as his shot from the edge of the area found the bottom corner.

The head-to-head between the two sides are currently level with Gillingham and Burton winning six games each and drawing the other three.
