Former Brentford man says confidence is high as Gills prepare to welcome Salford to ME7.
Gills midfielder Dominic Jefferies says it's time to 'start clicking' ahead of their Sky Bet League Two clash with Salford City on Saturday.
Although the team have not scored as many goals as they would like, Jefferies insists that belief is still strong in the camp and once one goes in more are sure to follow.
"We just need a scrappy goal to go in to kickstart our season," said Jefferies. "Obviously goals are the main thing in football; you score more goals than your opposition and you win the game. I'm sure it will come. Everyone is confident and we are ready for this weekend.
"Our full concentration is on Saturday. We have had a great week of training. We have had some good sessions and have worked on different things. There is a lot of positivity.
"We know what kind of team Salford are. They have a lot of pace and a lot of game-changers.If we can keep them quiet and not make mistakes ourselves then I think we will be fine.
"The fans have been great, they have supported us and followed us up and down the country. We need them behind us at the weekend. We want to give back to them and give them something to celebrate.
"The confidence around the group is high, we can't wait to get out there and hopefully get three points. We're looking forward to this one."
