Vacancy | Senior Academy Physiotherapist

Position available in the sports science team at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sports Science & Medicine team at Gillingham Football Club. 

We are looking to recruit a Senior Academy Physiotherapist to take responsibility for the Professional Development Phase squad aged 17-19 years, the successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Head of Sports Science & Medicine to continue to develop the department in line with the club’s philosophy.

The role will also require the successful applicant to link in with the Foundation Development (U9 – U11) & Youth Development (U12 – U17) Phase squads to ensure there is adequate support for part time medical staff in their roles.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting directly to the Head of Sports Science & Medicine and the Head of Academy, the post holder will be working closely with the existing medical and sports science teams to provide an integrated medical and sports science support system.

The sport science and medicine department is continually striving to develop best practice, link in with local universities to conduct specific applied research and as such, we are seeking a committed, enthusiastic individual with the desire to develop their experience of working in a professional team sports environment. Previous experience working within football is highly desirable.
