Australian U23 international returns to The Valley.
Ashley Maynard-Brewer has been recalled from his loan spell at Gills by parent club Charlton Athletic.
The former Australian U23 international arrived at MEMS Priestfield Stadium in the summer but suffered a shoulder injury during a pre-season fixture against Dover Athletic and has not been available for selection since.
The decision has now been made by the Addicks to recall Ashley, with Jake Turner set to retain his place in goal for Saturday's game at Newport, with Taite Holtam available to deputise.
Glenn Morris will be unavailable until Christmas time after suffering an injury against Northampton.
