Haji Mnoga signs for Gills on loan

Centre-back signs for the Gills on loan.

Gills have added a defender to their squad with the capture of Haji Mnoga on a season-long loan from Portsmouth.

The 20-year-old centre-back, who can also operate on the right side of defence, has represented the Tanzania full national team on three occasions. He came through the youth ranks at Fratton Park and made his professional debut in October 2018 in an EFL Trophy tie away at Crawley.

He has played 18 times for Pompey, scoring once. He has also had loan spells with Bognor Regis Town, Bromley and Weymouth.

Haji, 6'1, has featured three times for Portsmouth this season, twice in the Carabao Cup. He could make his Gills debut on Saturday, however this is subject to clearance.
