Glenn Morris signs new contract

Glenn Morris puts pen to paper on new Gills contract.

The club is delighted to announce that goalkeeper Glenn Morris has signed a new contract at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.

The 39-year-old rejoined the Gills, initially on loan, at the start of the season but in January made the move permanent, ending a six-and-a-half year spell with Crawley Town in the process.

He has kept 15 clean sheets in 40 appearances so far this season and has been one of the ever presents in the side since the opening day against AFC Wimbledon at Plough Lane in August.

Glenn becomes the third player to sign a new contract at Priestfield with Max Ehmer and Shaun Williams having already done so. Cheye Alexander will be staying at ME7 after triggering an option in his existing deal.

On agreeing terms, and signing paperwork, Glenn said:

"I am delighted to have signed a new contract at the club. I have thoroughly enjoyed being back at Priestfield and I am excited to see what the next 12 months hold.

"The fans have been superb and I look forward to sharing more great moments with them."

Glenn has also played for Leyton Orient, Aldershot Town and Southend United. He was voted Crawley's "Player of the Year" on four occasions.
