Neil Harris says he is delighted with recent results, but says the squad will not get carried away.
WWDWLWW... it's an incredible run of results that Gillingham have been on since the turn of the calendar year. The team's incredible ascent up a league they were rooted to for much of the campaign is bringing the good times back to ME7 and Neil Harris says he is relishing every second.
Following Saturday's victory at the Crown Oil Arena where the Gills clinically defeated Rochdale 2-0, the manager couldn't hide his satisfaction.
"I usually play it down a little bit", said Harris, "but I'm chuffed, really delighted.
"I'm delighted with the mentality of the players and delighted with the group I have got. I'm delighted with the fans, they are so behind us now and they can actually see a club and team they can enjoy watching.
"When you are in good form and you are confident then you are going to be a threat. Whoever I seem to pick at the moment at the top end of the pitch looks a threat.
"That's six points in the last two games, I have to be happy. We are moving in the right direction. We need to ride the wave.
"Nobody in this group is going to take their eye off the ball. We know we want to keep winning games of football.
"That's 16 points in seven games, but we have some difficult matches coming up. We have to get better and we will get better.
"We have back-to-back home fixtures now and the fans will come. People will just come now because they want to see a winning team. We have a fanbase that loves their club again."
