Harris | "We were clinical"

Neil Harris spoke to the media to reflect on Saturday's 2-0 win at Colchester.

Gills boss Neil Harris praised his players for the way they took their chances and defended resolutely in the 2-0 win over Colchester on Saturday.

David Tutonda and Tom Nichols both scored in the first half to put the visitors ahead, with Gills then defending brilliantly following the interval to clinch three crucial points.

Speaking after the game he said: "Today was a different way of being good. We were professional today, and we took our chances when they came along. There were very few chances in the game for either team, but we were clinical.

"In the second half, we had to be professional as we could be. They completely changed their style of play in the second half. They passed the ball and tried to play through us, and we had to be resolute and dig in.
Credit to my players, that was excellent.

"Today we earned the clean sheet. We made blocks from the shots around the edge of the box. In the box, we were throwing our bodies on the line, and we defended the crosses well. I thought we looked really solid."
