Ethan Coleman says it is important for the Gills to start well against Salford on Saturday.
Ethan Coleman believes that good times are just around the corner.
“I have enjoyed training so far,” said the midfielder ahead of this weekend’s clash with Salford. “The Gaffer brings really good energy and we are working really hard on new tactics.
“We are enjoying training as a team and we are looking forward to implementing the ideas in games. We want to have more of the ball, more possession and that suits me.
“It obviously takes time to demonstrate a new style of play when a new manager comes in. We have been working on a lot of new things which we hope to show on Saturday.
“We haven’t had a midweek game so we have had more time training with the Gaffer, so he can implement his ideas to us and we can carry that out in a game situation.
“We need a fast start and we need to take our chances. It is a cliché’ but our fans are our twelfth man, if they can get behind us it will really help.
“We are underachieving at the moment but we want to make Priestfield a fortress again. We can only improve with the new Gaffer coming in and that is what we look to do.”
