Defender knows Gills can learn from Saturday's cup defeat to Sheffield United.
Shad Ogie spoke to the media following the Gills 4-0 defeat to Sheffield United in the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.
Having now exited the competition, The Gills will now focus all of their attention on the league campaign, as Stephen Clemence’s men look to push on and build momentum in the second half of the season. All efforts will be aimed at moving back into the Play-Off positions.
Speaking after the game, the centre-back said: “They are a Premier League side, so we knew what to expect from them.
“We created chances against them, but once you do that you know that they’re going to hit you on the counter with quality, very quickly. I think that’s something we need to learn from this and take it back into the league.
“Credit to our boys. We dug deep, we created a lot of chances but it’s all about fine margins. It just fell their way today.
“If you switch off for a second against these Premier League sides, they’ll punish you. Personally, I think we could have done better, for the last two goals especially.
“We’ve had two good results in the league, we’ve got to focus on that. I’m confident we’ll find our rhythm moving forward and work our way up the table.”
